Scott M. Dunaway, President
Scott has an extensive track record of success in strategic communication. Well practiced in media relations, government relations, public advocacy and issues management, Scott offers a dynamic angle to his clients.
Prior to founding Dunaway PR, Scott served as a media professional for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Group of Eight (G-8) Summit in Sea Island, Georgia and for a Member of Congress from the State of Texas. He has also served in a media capacity at the GOP National Convention in New York City, World Trade Organization Meetings in Hong Kong and for the White House on advance for the President and First Lady.
Scott works to employ principled and effective approaches to communication in the areas of business and government. Under this guidance, he works to see clients succeed in their respective arenas using tactful and fresh approaches. In the private sector, Scott has extensive knowledge in the energy, healthcare, finance and technology industries.
Scott holds a BS in Communications Studies and minor in Business from Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, TX. He currently resides in Austin with his wife, Susan, where they are active members of Lake Hills Church and involved with the Dell Children's Hospital, the American Heart Association and their alma mater, TCU, raising funds for the athletic department directed towards scholarships and facility construction. Scott also serves on the Chancellor's Regional Council for TCU, the Government Relations Committee at the Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Seton Forum, a service and awareness-based group focused on aiding The Seton Family of Hospitals in their pursuit of healthcare excellence for everyone, regardless of the ability to pay.
